Angela Parry-Hanson Kunadu (BSc, MSc, PhD) is a proficient Food Scientist and Biotechnologist. She has over 15 years’ experience in the food industry and academia. She started her industry work populating food safety guidelines for Consumer Goods Council for South Africa, then continued as Deputy Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety Manager with Equatorial Coca-Cola Bottling Company for Algeria and West African Countries. She has since played diverse roles providing technical expertise to the food industry and Government institutions. She was instrumental in establishing, implementing and ensuring compliance to Quality, Food Safety, Environment and Occupational Safety and Health Requirements, and Legal requirements in 9 bottling plants in West Africa. Her leadership style, openness, passion and commitment makes her highly successful in driving integrated management systems (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001) and cultivating compliance culture among diverse teams. She continues to share her passion for food quality and safety through her academic teaching and research, industry training and development, and implementation of various food quality and safety programs. She has expertise in food testing, curricula development and capacity building for all scales of the food industry and government stakeholders. She is a member of the National Codex sub-committee on Food Hygiene and Chaired the Ghana Standards Authority Technical Committee for Microbiological Criteria for Foods.

Profile of Seth Adu-Baah EMBA, FCCA, FCISCM, ACIMG Seth has been part of the ECCBC (Equatorial Coca-Cola Bottling Company) team for 20 years, beginning in the Finance Department and progressing to hold various Country Manager roles in Gambia and Liberia, before being promoted to Ghana as Managing Director. Through his excellent leadership, teamwork, resilience, strategic and customer centric approach to business, he has led teams to design and execute programmes that have brought high levels of efficiencies and overall business effectiveness leading to a significant impact to business growth, profitability and return on investment. Prior to his Country Manager appointments, he worked as Management Accountant in Ghana and Head of Finance of the ECCBC operations in Sierra Leone. Seth holds an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance option) from the University of Ghana Business School. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK and Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management, Ghana, and an Associate member of Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana, with various qualifications in leadership, Business Management and Entrepreneurship from London School of Economics, Cranfield University, School of Management, AT EMILE Woolf College, London; San Telmo Business School, Seville-Spain; ESADE Business School, Barcelona Spain, and Wits Business School, South Africa. In February 2018, he was appointed to the position of Managing Director – The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited, the first Ghanaian to hold this position in the company. Seth has served on many Boards in both private and public organizations as well as government committee. Notably but to mention a few is the key role played as Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Cup Trophy Tour. Seth is currently serving on J-Palm Liberia Ltd as a Board Member, and Board Member, Junior Achievers Africa.

Dr. Nicole Sharon Affrifah (BSc, MPhil, PhD) is a seasoned Food Scientist with over 20 years of local and international experience gained within both the food industry and academia. She worked for several years in senior management for one of the largest multinational food companies with functional responsibilities for central and West Africa. She currently teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in Food Process Engineering at the University of Ghana. She continues to provide consultancy services for varied companies and organizations (both local and international). Her areas of expertise include food processing (product/process development or improvement, process flow/layout); standards and compliance (regulatory assessment and compliance strategies for pre-Market approvals, nutritional analysis and labelling, general food labelling compliance); and training (nutrition, food safety and quality, food control) for all staff categories.

Professor Kwesi F. Saalia (BSc, MPhil, PhD) has rich expertise in Food Science and Food Engineering. His career spans over 25 years in food industry support, academia and general management. He has consulted for many food companies and international organizations locally and internationally. His areas of expertise include equipment design and operation, product and process development, food processing, nutraceuticals, toxicology and chemical risk assessments. He has a great personality, loves practical training, and has extensive food policy experience. He chairs several committees at the University of Ghana and the Ghana Standards Authority Technical Committee on Processed Foods, National Codex sub-committee on spices and culinary herbs and National Codex sub-committee on edible oils. He is a Knowledge–Based Partner for British Council on Africa Knowledge transfer Partnerships (AKTPs) with Cocoa Processing Company in the development of (Aspire) sugarless chocolates.

Dr. Wanida Lewis is the CEO of Crescendo Foods, a food tech incubator in Accra, Ghana. Dr. Lewis has over ten years experience leading programs, strategic partnerships and economic evaluation initiatives throughout the African continent. Previously, she was a Senior Economic Program Advisor at the U.S. Department of State's Office of Global Women's Issues and a Foreign Affairs Officer in the Office of Agricultural Policy. In 2018, Dr. Lewis founded Young, Gifted, & Brown, LLC, a pipeline program supporting young Ghanaian women and entrepreneurs in STEM. She received a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Saint Augustine’s University, a master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry from North Carolina Central University and a doctoral degree in Food Science from North Carolina State University.
